Fun Fact !
Turning to Llangollen's geography, the town is renowned for its picturesque landscapes, particularly the dramatic Horseshoe Pass. This mountain pass boasts panoramic views and its serpentine road is a marvel for both motorists and cyclists. However, lesser known is the story of its construction. It was designed by no less an individual than Thomas Telford, the eminent Scottish civil engineer, in the early 19th century. Telford designed the route to divert traffic away from the hazardous old road, which was prone to landslides. The new route's safer and more efficient travel significantly contributed to the growth and prosperity of Llangollen, marking it as a significant feat in civil engineering.
