Fun Fact !
On a more cheerful note, Kidsgrove also takes great pride in its community park - Clough Hall Park. What makes this park unique, however, is its noteworthy history. In the 19th century, the park was a part of the Clough Hall estate, owned by the renowned ironmaster Hugh Henshall Williamson. It was only after a series of ownership changes that the park was finally gifted to the people of Kidsgrove in 1924 by the then owner, coal merchant Arthur Shufflebotham. Today, the park serves as a symbol of the town's rich history and community spirit, offering beautiful gardens, a boating lake, and a host of recreational facilities for residents and visitors alike.
