Fun Fact !
Not merely limited to aviation, Horsforth has a fascinating geographical aspect as well. It was once considered to be the largest village in England until it gained town status in 1999. This contention for the title of 'largest village' was based on its population size, which at its peak, exceeded that of many small English towns. The expansive area of Horsforth, which sprawls over a diverse landscape of parks, farmland, and urban areas, also contributes to its former 'village' status. This unique blend of urban and rural characteristics gives Horsforth a distinctive identity within West Yorkshire.
